Kampung Tanpa Wayar or The Wireless Village curently are a popular slogan. For the kampung folks, this services are welcomed and it looks very usefull to people in the information technology era. The facilities was promoted by government for some folk especially in urban area to access internet. How long does it given facilitate to the people was does'nt matter.
In other hands, the Kampung Tanpa Wayar carries the meaning that the village has not connection to other places. In bahasa, our perseption is,"Tidak ada wayar di kampung ini". The word 'wayar' (wire), which described as something can see or can connet to anything else like rope. For example, wayar elektrik (electric cable), wayar telefon (telephone cable), wayar pernafasan (breathing cable), and others. Currently, many more such wireless village being set up by the telecomunication company nationwide. As you see, this village originally known as Kampung Apal, a small village in Besut, Terengganu. There are many such signboard at any selected area and maybe some villages never knows about it except students or some employer nearby. For the olders, mostly ineducated, they doesn't know. The question is whether their kampung has been changed to other name or something services available in their area ?. Is there any other name is more suitable to replace the name Kampung Tanpa Wayar maybe. Probably, next time, we would set up the name just likes Kampung Tanpa Elektrik, Kampung Tanpa Jalan. In fact, it could be happened.
